College & Guidance Counseling


SAT or ACT scores are not the only criteria used by colleges to determine admission. Academic performance throughout high school, involvement in community service or athletics, clubs, and other activities are all seriously considered. However, it is in a student's best interest to achieve his or her best possible results on standardized test scores since many colleges and universities use them as benchmarks for future academic success.
 
PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS:
  • Individual academic, vocational, and college placement planning and counseling.
  • Access to Scoir, the college search, and planning platform used at CPS. The software is designed to help students make decisions about their interests, prospective colleges, and future careers.  
  • Access to our staple Comet Career Quest Program, a vocational discovery, and development program that includes: our Comet Career Talk podcast, our Career Quest internship and shadowing placement, career mentorship, and career days):
  • Individualized college application support and advisor
  • Individualized academic planning and standardized testing strategic planning
  • Individualized summer program search and planning
