CPS recognizes the resilience and support demonstrated by faculty, staff, parents, and students since launching the Distance Learning Plan (DLP) the 3rd week of March. While we continue to work quickly to ensure the technology and training we need are effective, we understand that keeping a pulse on the physical as well as emotional health of our community is essential. In keeping with the CPS motto: Lifelong Learning Beyond Academics, CPS has included a Wellness component into the Plan, which includes periodic check-ins and follow-up with our families.
Even though our Comet family may not be physically together, we are committed to moving forward, unified in solidarity as the strong community that we are. A part of our DLP is to check up on our families to make sure they are physically and emotionally well. The first way we will be doing this is by sending periodic surveys to see how your family is dealing with our “new reality.” The first of these series will be issued on Tuesday, March 24th. We ask that you use this forum so the CPS may provide the appropriate resources and assistance. In the meantime, if you or your child are experiencing anxiety or stress, please feel free to reach out to our school psychologist, Dra. Mercedes Morris at firstname.lastname@example.org or 787-402-1811.
