An audience of 700 high school students, from International Schools, from 5 continents are in attendance at the UNIS - UN conference, with 14 visiting countries, including Puerto Rico. CPS is proud to report that CPS is one of 2 schools representing Puerto Rico, with our very own Comet Joseph Spir, Class of 2016, representing Commonwealth-Parkville School. Go Comets!
The UNIS-UN provides an educationally and intellectually enriching experience for students from around the world while promoting globalism and cross-cultural exchange. The annual conference has been held at the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations Headquarters in New York City for the past 37 years. Contemporary global issues are discussed by expert and engaging speakers well versed on the topic. This year's topic is: Sustainability: Balancing People, Planet, & Profit.
