CPS Robotics Teacher Arquelio Feliciano Chosen VEX Robotics Mentor of the Year Award

Commonwealth-Parkville School congratulates Mr. Arquelio Feliciano on receiving the VEX Robotics Mentor of the Year Award. This significant award is given to a mentor or engineer that has helped their students achieve goals that were seemingly out of reach. This individual is a role model, a leader and an extraordinary mentor who helps show students new ways to expand their knowledge and solve problems in the worlds of STEM.

 

Mr. Feliciano has been a Science teacher at CPS for over 15 years, with his role expanding to other STEM disciplines (Science, Technology Engineering, Math) including Math and Middle and High School Robotics. He has also mentored the CPS Robotics Club for the past 2 years, already recognized in several competitions.  

 

Mr. Feliciano received the good news after an intense two weekends in Manati and Humacao in a Nothing But Net Competition*. He noted, "It was a surprise and great honor to be chosen, especially among so many great coaches.  I thank all our students for their support and hard work, always striving to achieve greatness. They motivate me to work tirelessly.  I enjoy organizing teams and helping them design, create, build, and continuously test their models to obtain desired results.  I  am excited that this year alone 5 new teams have joined the Robotics Club."  His mentorship has indeed been noteworthy leading to this well-deserved and major achievement.  CPS is certain that many accolades will follow for Mr. Feliciano and our Comets Robotics Team.
